What one trend, challenge or opportunity do you think will impact the foodservice industry most in 2018?
Energy efficiency. Apart from the obvious environmental benefits, energy is only going to get more expensive and energy consumption is becoming more important when evaluating the overall cost of ownership when purchasing new equipment.
What’s your current bestseller?
Undercounter refrigeration is always popular but we’ve noticed that our Retro Refrigeration cabinet is causing quite a stir among design conscious establishments. The cabinet takes its inspiration from the fifties and adds the latest energy efficient components to produce a modern, high performance refrigerator that will be the focal point of the kitchen. It looks great front of house. It’s stand-out refrigeration at its best, with heavy-duty hinges and large handles adding to the retro feel.
What’s your latest new product?
Meat Ageing Cabinet. This cabinet provides the perfect temperature and humidity controlled environment for all meat ageing needs. Temperature can be accurately set from 1ºC and 4ºC with humidity controlled between 75-85% – without the need for a water supply. Himalayan Rock Salt is supplied as standard to enhance flavour and to optimise humidity regulation. The stainless steel construction provides not just a solution back of house, but can be used front of house as a sales tool.
